Traces and Connections 101

There are various options for electrically connecting two things. Wire, plugs and screw terminals are a few of them.

But you can also use other conductive objects to make electrical connections.

A nice example from e-textiles shows how a regular LED can be modified to make the legs “sewable” and more easily integrated in textiles circuits using conductive thread.
